Ichiban in Japanese means ‘number one’. It is also the name given to the prestigious award that Toyota Motor Europe (TME) gives each year to dealers who excel in delivering exceptional value to the customer.
Every year, more than 2,400 compete for the chance to be voted the Best Toyota Dealer in Town.
The 2025 Ichiban winner in Portugal is Terauto, the Toyota dealer on Terceira Island in the Azores. Terauto, which is also a BRiT Dealer (best dealer in its city), has won this award for the second time.
From the initiatives it has implemented under the 6 ICHIBAN pillars, it is clear that it has worked systematically to direct all its efforts towards serving its customers better and better, while at the same time remaining a benchmark in automotive retail for the brand.
